I'm taking part in the Crickhowell Open Studios again this year. It seems to have come round again very quickly and the panic is starting to set in! Have I got enough work? Will anyone be able to find the studio? Do I need to paint the walls again (after a bit of overenthusiastic paint spattering)?
It may have been a lot of work last year but it was also a lot of fun and it was great to meet new people and talk about painting, printing, art in general and have some tea and cake!
I must say a big thank you to everyone who is involved in organising the event each year. This is only my second year involved but this year Crickhowell Open Studios is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
I'm going to try to engage visitors in a couple of presentations/talks/discussions this year. One about colour theory and the other about reduction lino printing. The timings are in the Open Studios brochure......no I won't be calling them lessons. My teaching days are over!
Launching the Same weekend is the Crickhowell Open Art Competition which launches on the Friday 25th May and continues till 7th July. I'm also pleased to say I have two pieces of work in that (see my previous blog posting).
